Remembering Dr. Frederick W. Crumb
Dr. Frederick W. Crumb died on January 8, 1967. He spent 20 years as the President of the college at Potsdam. During his presidency he worked to expand the college physically and as an academic institution. At the time of his death Crumb left behind his wife and three sons. The memorial took place at six separate locations due to the attendance of over 2,000 people. Among those were sixteen college presidents, civil leaders, local and state officials, students and faculty, and members of the community.
Dr. Charles W. Snyder gave a speech during the memorial service at the First Presbyterian Church, which is provided here. Also included are condolence letters sent to Mrs. Crumb and her family, as well as some of the obituaries from local newspapers.
