Number of Women Winning Degrees Has Greatly Increased, Studies Show
This reports on how more women are choosing to pursue degrees, as well as master's degrees, saying that the number has "tremendously increased in recent years". According to the article, there is still a need for more women with advanced training, as well as "easing the shortages in many fields," and then explains an increasing need for engineers, scientists, but also linguists, anthropologists, economists, and statisticians. The worry of a women being rejected from a job are decreasing, and the article plainly states that "from all accounts, the women do just as good a teaching job as men."

We Want a People's World
This is a one-page women's liberation comic from the early 70's. The top of the comic says "Hatching" in thick black letters, and underneath it: "An illustrated women's liberation diary," followed by four girls quite literally 'hatching' from an egg, with female symbols on their shirts, and raised fists...I think if I saw something similar to this comic in the next Racquette issue I pick up, I could be knocked over with a feather. It's so much more radical than anything I've seen the Racquette come close to.

Women's Studies Program "Changes Lives"
This article outlines the increasing growth of the Women's Studies academic discipline. I learned that the Women's Studies department was founded in 1992, under the direction of Anne Sisson Raymond. It branched out of the Politics Department, which I honestly didn't know prior to reading this article. The director at this time, Liliana Trevizan, says that she recommends Women's Studies courses to all students, and that many say it changed their lives and the way they look at the world. I feel honored to be a part of this minor, and reading the article made me even happier to be involved

Students Speaking Out About Gender Equality
Students get an idea of what S.A.G.E is about, and how the club is increasing in popularity among the student body. Louise Tyo, the faculty president of S.A.G.E, says that over 100 students are involved in the group in one way or another. This is interesting to me because at the very end of the article, the writer includes a few sentences from Tyo that encourages readers to report acts of gender discrimination. "Write it down," she says, "Go to someone about it."
